The original site was a small family house with a factory in the backyard, built in the early 1900s. The factory was demolished to create a large garden, and the original one-story house was torn down to make way for a three-story home. The ground floor offers a seamless connection between the living and dining areas, linked by an atrium that brings in plenty of natural light. Overlooking the atrium is a narrow library nook, providing a cozy and inspiring space for reading or working. The entire house is constructed from timber. The facade was initially intended to feature a wooden slatted privacy screen for added privacy, but this was unfortunately not approved by the local authorities. I was involved in the project from the schematic design through to the construction documents phase.
